Image result for nail polish tights

Use clear nail polish to stop those annoying runs in your tights:

The clear nail polish will bind the strands of the tights together much stronger than just leaving them alone. This is only a quick fix though, as the stretchiness of the tights far exceeds the strength of the nail polish. (Tip via CafeMom)

Comb down flyaways down with a (clean) toothbrush and some hairspray:

The bristles of the toothbrush will tuck the small, fine flyaway that won’t stay down into the longer strands of your hair and the hairspray will make sure it stays there. (Tip via Refinery29)

Dip newly painted nails into a bowl of cold water:

This will make them dry faster so you don’t smudge the nail polish you just applied. The cold of the water will instantly set the nail polish and give it a polished shine. (Tip via Cosmopolitan)

Use a tissue and some translucent powder over your lipstick to set it:

Hold the tissue over your lipstick and brush the translucent powder on top. This will set the lipstick and matt it slightly. Note that it may change the colour of the lipstick a bit, but I think it is worth it if you want to get a little bit more time out of that one use. (Tip via Buzzfeed)

Heat your eyelash curler to help it curl your lashes:

Use your hairdryer to heat up your eyelash curler to make those lashes stay perfectly rounded for longer. It is a bit like using a heated curling iron for your hair, so don’t do it too often or you might damage the lashes. (Tip via Seventeen)

Always use two bobby pins to make the grip stronger:

Do you find that every time you do your hair up with bobby pins it comes undone? Just make sure you’re always using an even number to make that perfect bun stay in place the whole day. Cross them over wavy side down to get the best possible grip on your hair. (Tip via Refinery29)

An oily T-zone can ruin a good photo. In a pinch, use a toilet seat cover to dab up the extra shine. To see a full article on this technique, click here.

Use a toilet seat cover to blot any excess oil:

To get rid of all of that oil that always seems to appear on your face at the most crucial time (e.g. right before a picture) use a toilet seat cover from most bathrooms as an alternative to blotting paper.
